Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Report

Looking for a breakdown of your expenses on items that were sold? Look no further, as the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) report has an in-depth breakdown of costs associated with goods sold. This report tallies the total costs in the various cost categories associated with producing and selling your product, and presents the grand total alongside the total quantity sold, the revenue from those sales and your overall profit margin.

To access the COGS report:

1. Begin by navigating to the Accounting Center and finding the Reports drop-down.                               
2. Select the Cost of Goods Sold Report from the drop-down list, then click Preview.                              
3. Select the Fiscal Period you would like to filter by, or manually put the date range in the From and To drop-downs. Hit Refresh to update the report.                                            
4. You can print, email and save the report directly from this page.

Want to know where all these costs are coming from? 

• Ingredient Cost - The cost of the ingredients (raw materials) consumed to make the product that was sold.
• Pkg (Packaging) Cost - The cost of the packaging used on the product. Please see Add Packaging to a Product for more information.
• Labour Cost - The labour associated with producing the product and all recipes that went into making it. Please see Add Labour/Labor to a Product and Add Labour/Labor to a Recipe for more information.
• Overhd (Overhead) Cost - The overhead costs incurred producing the product. Please see Set Overhead Costs to learn how overhead is calculated in FlexiBake. Overhead costs are calculated using the number of people and number of hours entered in the Labour section.
• Other Costs - Other costs are assigned to the product to handle costs that don't fit into the other cost categories. Please see Adding Other Costs to a Product
• Fixed Costs - Fixed costs are assigned to particular price tiers. Please see Adding Additional Costs to a Price Tier for more information.
• SPD (Sell-Price Dependent) Costs - Sell-price dependent costs are assigned to particular price tiers. Please see Adding Additional Costs to a Price Tier for more information.
