Add Tax Profile to a Sales Order

This tutorial assumes that tax profiles have already been created in FlexiBake. For a walkthrough of how to create tax profiles, please see our article Create a Sales Tax Profile. Before proceeding, please ensure that you have familiarized yourself with the applicable tax laws in your region.

Taxes can be assigned at 3 levels in FlexiBake: product, sales order and customer. The tax profile set on a sales order will override the tax profiles of the products, but the customer's tax profile will override both. Your region may require that orders intended for certain purposes are taxed. In this case, you can set a tax profile for the sales order, which will override any tax profiles set on the requested products. Please note, however, that if the customer placing the order is assigned a tax profile, it will be applied instead of the one selected for the sales order.

You can set the tax profile for a single sales order using the following steps

1. In the Sales Centre, find the desired sales order in the list and double click to open it.  
2. Make sure the detail level is set to High. 
3. From the Tax Profile drop-down, select the appropriate tax profile. If the customer has a tax profile assigned, it will have automatically populated when the sales order was created and will appear here. 
4. Click OK to save the change.
