For best results, please use only letters and numbers when providing price tier names. Special characters (like @, #, $, %, etc.) should be excluded.
In the wholesale market, prices are seldom fixed. When courting a larger potential customer, they may negotiate slightly lower wholesale prices than you offer to your smaller-volume clients. Creating copies of all your products and assigning them lower prices would be an organizational nightmare, especially if you have multiple customers with their own prices.
Thankfully, there's a better way: you can create price tiers in FlexiBake. These can be special prices for a certain customer or group of customers. These can be assigned to both products and customers, allowing you to fully customize what you charge and to who.
The first step in using price tiers is creating them, which can be done by following these steps:
- Access the Analysis Centre then click Maintain Product Prices.
- In the top left corner, click the Price Tier button.
- A window will pop-up. Click the New button in the lower right corner.
- At the bottom of this window, enter a Description for the price tier and select the Currency this tier is to be charged as from the drop down.
- Click Add.
A video guide on creating a price tier is available below:
Once the price tier has been created you may assign product prices to it. For more information on this task please see our associated tutorial Set Product Prices Within a Price Tier.
Once this is complete, you can assign customers to a specific price tier, which will then automatically use the appropriate tier price when the customer orders a product. To see how, check out our article Assign a Price Tier to a Customer.
